Método DANTE®

A Revolutionary Approach to Neurodivergent Wellness

A sensory-informed, heart-centered protocol for Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia — combining neuroscience, integrative nutrition, and structured routines to regulate emotions, improve focus, and foster authentic connection.

Where Science Meets Love

Método DANTE®

The Método DANTE® was born from the deep love and relentless determination of Juliana Freitas, a devoted mother to Dante, a neurodivergent child diagnosed with autism at just over one year old. Faced with aggressive crises, communication barriers, and a lack of effective solutions, Juliana realized that traditional approaches often focused only on symptoms — without truly seeing the child as a whole person.

Through years of research, observation, and hands-on care, Juliana discovered that emotional regulation, structured routines, and sensory-aware nutrition could transform Dante’s daily life. Determined to deepen her skills, she became a Therapist in Integrative Medicine, merging science, holistic practices, and sensory integration into a cohesive approach that evolved from a personal quest into a comprehensive, transdisciplinary method now helping children with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia thrive in their own authentic ways.

In 2025, Juliana partnered with Patrícia Shani, a Functional Chef and Health & Wellness Practitioner specializing in functional medicine, gut-brain connection, and therapeutic nutrition. Patricia enhanced the method’s nutritional pillar with science-backed, sensory-friendly, and family-focused meal strategies, uniting a mother’s insight with professional expertise to address the child as a whole—mind, body, and environment.

Testimonials

Dante’s Transformation

Dante was diagnosed with autism at just over one year old. Despite therapies and multiple medications, he remained nonverbal, hyperactive, aggressive, and impatient. His mother, Juliana Freitas, cared for him alone, facing daily crises with strength and determination—even while managing her own health challenges.

Determined to find a better way, Juliana studied Integrative Medicine and created the Método DANTE®, combining emotional regulation, sensory-aware routines, and targeted nutrition. With the support of Dr. Bonanza and Functional Chef Patricia Shani, the protocol was applied to Dante in February 2025.

In just five months, the results were life-changing—Dante began speaking in full sentences, stayed calm during meals, waited patiently for his turn at activities, and even asked to help around the house. Today, at 7 years old, he is thriving, with the potential to become a functional, independent adult.

Science-Backed Foundations for Método DANTE®

Método DANTE® was born to open hearts and minds to the beauty of neurodiversity.

“When the world sees aggression, we see a call for embrace.
When the world sees impulsivity, we see inflammation asking for care.
When the world sees restriction, we see a body in physiological dysregulation yearning for balance.
When the world sees antisocial behavior, we see the quiet voice of a neurogastrointestinal imbalance asking to be heard.
We believe every behavior tells a story — and behind each challenge, there is a child full of potential, love, and brilliance.
Let’s hold hands, walk together, and step into a path of connection, understanding, and evolution.”

Frequent Q & A

What is the Método DANTE®

The Método DANTE® is a transdisciplinary and integrative approach designed to support neurodivergent children (such as those with autism and ADHD) and their families. It works on three levels simultaneously: the body (physiotherapy and regulation), the mind (psychopedagogy and emotional development), and the environment (family, routine, and daily structure).

The method is guided by 5 pillars:

  • Affective Discipline – emotional regulation within a safe and supportive structure
  • Mindful Attention – cultivating presence and awareness in interactions
  • Naturalness – fostering autonomy, spontaneity, and authentic expression
  • Transformation – breaking dysfunctional family patterns and creating new possibilities
  • Balance – building routines that support sensory and emotional regulation

Unlike therapies that focus only on the child, the Método DANTE® integrates the family, the body, and the environment. Parents become active agents of regulation, and nutrition, daily routine, and emotional connection are considered just as important as clinical interventions.

Food is not just fuel — it directly impacts the gut-brain axis. Our chef develops personalized functional nutrition strategies that reduce inflammation, regulate the microbiome, and improve focus, sleep, and emotional balance.

Yes. We use sensory food strategies, involving the child in cooking and exploration of textures and flavors, reducing food aversions while creating a positive emotional connection with meals.

The family is the heart of the method. Parents receive:

  • A personalized DANTE routine with visual aids
  • A regulation protocol (breathing, massage, sensory activities)
  • Practical strategies for daily challenges
  • Support groups and community circles for shared learning

The Método DANTE® is built on solid scientific foundations. Research in neuroscience and functional medicine shows that when we regulate the body’s systems — especially the nervous system, the gut-brain axis, and sensory processing — children can access their best potential for learning, emotional balance, and social connection.

📚 Science behind it:

  • Studies confirm that gut health and diet directly influence behavior, focus, and emotional regulation in autism and ADHD (Mulle et al., 2013; Cryan et al., 2019).
  • Sensory integration therapies help improve motor skills, attention, and self-regulation (Schaaf et al., 2014).
  • Co-regulation practices between parents and children strengthen attachment, reducing anxiety and meltdowns (Tronick, 2007).

Unlike a “one-size-fits-all” model, we see every child as unique — with individual strengths, sensitivities, and potential. Instead of focusing only on limitations, we empower the child’s natural abilities while reducing barriers caused by physiological imbalances.

In practice, this means families often notice:

  • Better sleep and calmer routines
  • Improved focus and communication
  • Reduced aggression and emotional outbursts
  • Stronger parent–child connection

The Método DANTE® works because it treats the whole child — body, mind, and environment — supported by both science and real-life results.

Each child is unique, but families often report:

  • Improved emotional regulation
  • Better sleep and eating patterns
  • Increased communication and focus
  • Reduced aggression, anxiety, or meltdowns
  • Stronger family connection and harmony at home
